Job Description:

Quality Equipment & Parts is seeking an Equipment Sales Representative to join our team in Lake City, Florida. This position is a territory-based, field sales role. The Equipment Sales Representative spends the majority of their time visiting customers, traveling within the assigned territory, conducting equipment demonstrations, and developing relationships with contractors and equipment operators.

The Equipment Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads, visiting job sites, demonstrating equipment, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to delivery. Success in this position comes from building trust with customers, understanding their equipment needs, and providing reliable solutions that keep their businesses productive.

This position requires someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working in the field, and able to build long-term customer relationships in a competitive equipment market.


 

Summary:

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the assigned territory daily to visit customers, job sites, and businesses to generate equipment sales opportunities.
  • Develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers within the assigned territory.
  • Visit job sites, meet with contractors and operators, and recommend equipment solutions that match customer needs.
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and provide product application guidance to customers.
  • Guide customers through the sales process including equipment selection, quoting, financing options, and delivery coordination.
  • Maintain knowledge of manufacturer programs, equipment features, and available financing options.
  • Coordinate with parts and service departments to ensure strong customer support and satisfaction.
  • Work with the Sales Manager to structure deals and assist customers through the financing process.
  • Maintain accurate customer information and sales activity reporting.
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of equipment sales or territory-based outside sales experience required
  • Direct experience selling compact construction or heavy equipment strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the construction industry and equipment applications
  • Ability and willingness to work primarily in the field and travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer relationship and communication abilities
  • Ability to operate, load/unload, and demonstrate equipment safely for customers
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports and activity metrics
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
